Ulysses S. Knotts Iii

Ulysses S. Knotts III Statesboro, Georgia Ulysses S. Knotts III, 55, of Statesboro, GA, formerly of Atlanta GA, Boca Raton FL, Aspen, CO died Nov. 2, 2010 after a brief illness at The Medical College of GA in Augusta GA. He was a very special companion of Nancy Davis, of Statesboro. Born in Pittsburg, PA on Sept.15, 1955, a son of the late Dr. U. S. Knotts Jr. and Barbara (Dunham) Knotts, he was raised in numerous states throughout the country. After leaving the Marine Corp he moved to Aspen Co and became a Dept Sheriff for the Pitkin County Sheriff's Department during the mid 70's. Relocating to Statesboro GA, he graduated from Georgia Southern (College) University. He worked at IBM, KPMG, AnswerThink, The Hackett Group,CommerceQuest and Apto Solutions. Returning to Statesboro in recent years he was associated with H.A. Sack CO. In addition to his companion, he is survived by three children, Matthew Knotts, Jordan Knotts and Alexis Knotts all of Atlanta, sisters, Deborah Knotts of Albuquerque NM, Cassandra Watkins of New Braunfels TX and a brother, Robert Knotts of Rome GA. A special aunt, Joyce Scarborough of Augusta, was with him at the end. His cousin, Rev Jay Knotts ministered to him in his final days. He also has one nephew, four nieces, numerous aunt, uncles and cousins. All who will greatly miss him. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
