Mary Louise Pinson Goetzman passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at her home following complications from lung cancer. Mary Louise Goetzman, 80 years old was born October 15,1944 in Richmond County, Augusta, Georgia to the late William Collins Pinson and the late Mary Frances Masters Pinson. She is survived by her two living daughters; Rachel Laura Hardin of Hephzibah, Ga. and Mary Elizabeth Deike (Dennis) of Hephzibah, Ga. She had seven grandchildren, John Brooks (Rachel), David Goetzman (Rhonda), Harvey Goetzman (Paige), Stephanie Taylor (Kevin), Ernie Goetzman, Josh Deike(Kylie), Aileen Arthur (Brad). She had nineteen great grandchildren. She left four living sisters; Brenda Largen, Sherlyn DePuy, Sheila Clifford, Barbara Melcher. Mary Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest H. Goetzman, an infant daughter, Beverly Jean Goetzman, son, David Charles Goetzman, and two brothers, James Pinson and Richard Pinson. Philanthropy was a big part of her testimony and who she was. She was a homemaker and a mother of three children. She helped raise at least thirteen children that weren’t her own. She always made sure those children felt loved and received Christmas gifts. Mary Louise was a past member of Lyons Club of Hephzibah, GA. She served gladly beside her husband, Ernest H. Goetzman for many years. Mary Louise was an avid for her hobbies of reading, gardening, writing poems, and drawing. She could beat anyone at cards. She loved listening to Conway Twitty music. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything and lived her life for them. She was loved by so many family and friends. She will be missed dearly, and we will be lost without her. We love you with all our heart. Until we see you again. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 24, at the home of Dennis and Mary Deike with Preacher Steve A. Melcher officiating. She will be cremated by Central Savannah River Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lions Club of Hephzibah, GA.
