Willie Dominguez, 86, of Augusta entered into rest on Friday, March 2, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Poteet Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Van Alstine officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Born in Madrid, New Mexico to Francisco and Maria Dominguez, he entered into the United States Army where he served his country for 21 years, including both the Korean War and the Vietnam War.He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with “V” Device on June 19, 1967 for his heroism in the Republic of Vietnam. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Pauline Dominguez; children, Willie (Karen) Dominguez of Augusta, Ruth (Mike) Vandiver of Martinez, Jane Ingram of Augusta, David (Kim) Dominguez of North Augusta, and Theresa (Brian) Giles of Augusta; grandchildren, Amber (Ryan) McDaniel, Ryan Dominguez, Jason Ingram, Christopher Ingram, Drew Dominguez, Shelby Giles, and Nick (Brandy) Kelley; great grandchildren, Memphis Ingram, Presley Ingram, Phoenix Ingram, Jesse MaDaniel, Lyla McDaniel, Allison Kelley, and Briana Kelley; a sister, Alice Levato of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brothers, Jose Dominguez of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Bobby Dominguez of Elsmire, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home.
