Biography William "Tim" Springfield, Jr. Diesel Truck Mechanic Martinez, Ga. William "Tim" Springfield, Jr. of Martinez, Ga. entered peacefully into rest at his home on the morning of September 21, 2012 at 7:10 am after succumbing to complications related to a stroke that occurred 3 years ago. Tim survived by his wife Debbie Springfield, Elgin, SC., children William Tim Springfield, III, Martinez, Ga., Vanessa Springfield Francis, Martinez, Ga., Presley Springfield, Elgin, SC., brother James Springfield, sister Susan Colohan, sister, Julie Craft, brother, Charles Springfield. Three grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday from 2:00-4:00 pm at McNeill Funeral Home. Guest is encouraged to share some of the life-affirming stories and memories that made Tim the unique individual he was. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Stroke Association, an organization which was very dear to Tim because of their devotion to not only look for ways to prevent life -altering strokes and neurological events but also to increase the quality and duration of life for those previously affected by these circumstances.
