William Ed Mcgee

Mr. William (Ed) McGee, Jr. Evans, GA. Mr. William McGee, devoted husband of 53 years to Sarah Anne McGee, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 21st. Mr. McGee was lifelong native of Augusta where he worked for Merry Brothers Brick and Tile Company for 35 years, and later retired from E-Z-Go. He was an awesome father and Papa. He is preceded in death by his sister, Judith Newman and brother, Johnny Rowe. Additional survivors include his son, William David McGee; daughter Pamula Susan Burke; grandsons Isaac David McGee (Chelsea) of Atlanta and Hunter Scott Burke of Martinez; adopted children and grandchildren, Brittany Baker, Jeanie Gallagher, and a very special little man, Jayden Scruggs; mother-in-law, Luna Baker; a host of nieces and nephews; and very special friends Emory Sayer (Henri) and all of our neighborhood, friends, and family. He loved everybody and loved wood-working & helping people. A memorial service will be held at the Vineyard Community Church on Saturday March 28th at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends after the service. The family sends a special thanks to doctors Paul Fischer and David Squires and Gentiva Hospice.
