William Allen Gould

William “Allen” Gould, 50, of Augusta, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016, at his residence with his loving family surrounding him. Allen was born August 20, 1965, in Augusta, to the late James and Inza Maree Hayman Gould.He was a faithful member of the Sanctuary Church where he sang in the choir for many years.He worked for Sonoco as a Spiral Specialist III.He was an avid Georgia Fan and most of all, he was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Shealy) Gould; 2 sons, Robbie Marin of San Diego, CA. and Michael Holder of Waynesboro; 1 daughter, Barbie (Kenny) Glidewell of Martinez; 2 sisters, Patricia (Camille) Crook of Grovetown and Sandy (Larry) Mullikin of Martinez; 3 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Michelle (Rick) Wright of Martinez,He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Terral and Jimmy Gould and 1 sister, Margie Moore. Family will receive friends Tuesday 6 pm to 8 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906. Services will be Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Georgia Academy for the Blind, 2895 Vineville Ave., Macon, GA., 31204.
