William Edward Burr

William Edward (Eddie) Burr, Sr., 51, of North Augusta, entered into rest on Friday, May 13, 2017. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in the chapel of Poteet Funeral Home with Pastor Dexter Lambert officiating. Eddie was a lifelong resident of the Augusta - North Augusta area and was employed by Quality Plus Services as a Superintendent. He was a hard worker who loved his career. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved to cook, enjoyed Nascar racing, USC Gamecock football, and fishing. Anyone who came in contact with Eddie knew there wouldn’t be a dull moment. He was the life of the party and will be greatly missed. Eddie was survived by a loving wife, Mary H. Burr of North Augusta; his mother, Brenda Howell Burr of Trenton, SC; sons, William Edward (Taylor) Burr, Jr. of Pawleys Island, SC and Tyler Douglas Burr of Appling; daughters, Tiffany Nicole (Kevin Ard) Bishop of Aiken, Miranda Lee (Ben Thrailkill) Bishop of North Augusta, and Haley Cooper Ussery; granddaughter, Eastyn Carolyne Ard; sister, Angela (James) Cloyd of Trenton; brothers, Stevie (Sondra) Burr of North Augusta, Michael (Christa) Burr of Trenton, and Brian (Diane) Burr of North Augusta. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Burr and also his father-in-law, Henry Neal.
