William A. Blackston

William A. Blackston 82, husband of the late Joyce James Blackston entered into rest on Tuesday March 27, 2018 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday March 31, 2018 at Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta with Pastor A. F. Halford officiating. The interment will follow in Prickett Family Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Ceremonial Detachment of Fort Gordon.Survivors include children James (Melody) Blackston, Royce (Susan) Blackston, Randy Blackston, Sherry Blackston and Gladys Reeves Pruin; sisters Faye May, Janice B. Reeves and Ann Thomason; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by a sister Jeanette Odeen.
