William Evans Atkinson Sr.

Augusta,GA.- Mr.. William E. Atkinson Sr. age 68, husband of Mrs. Mary Atkinson entered into rest at Ogeechee Area Hospice on January 24, 2011. Graveside servicesfor Mr. Atkinson will be held on Thursday , January 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Westview Cemetery. Survivors include, one daughter, Rose Ann McKeehan and husband Richard, one son, William Evans Atkinson Jr., one grandson, Michael Meadows,three granddaughters, Michelle Kornegay and her husband Eric, and Penny Woods and husband Kevin, and Tonya Baker. One great granddaughter, Amber Harris, three great grandsons, Hunter Keith,Eric Kornegay III, and Ethan Woods . Mr. Atkinson was a self employed mechanic, he also worked with Wells Fargo, and workedat the Stevens Plant and the Ez-G0 working on golf carts. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 11:00 until 12:00. Poteet Funeral Home 3465 Peach Orchard Rd.
