Vivian married Erwin Bartle Williams on June 23rd1942. In 1950 Erwin accepted a call to pastor three country churches in upstate New York, and she became a pastor’s wife which began her journey. From there they moved to Texas to pastor a church from there they planted churches in Iowa, New York, Florida, Alabama, West Virginia, and Ohio. They finally retired to Georgia after more than 50 years of serving the Lord in the ministry. She became a bookkeeper, an office manager, a secretary, a music director, piano player, piano teacher, a Sunday school superintendent, a children’s church leader, a Vacation Bible School director, a speaker a various ladies’ conferences and a hostess. But most of all she was a loving mother and a devoted wife. After they retired, she continued to get up at 6 a.m. to read her Bible and spend 3 or4 hours in prayer daily. She was a great prayer warrior, praying not only for those she knew and loved, but also for missionaries whom she had never met. She was truly a great lady and will be missed.
