Vincent E. Metelski

Hephzibah, GA. Retired SGM, US Army Vincent E. Metelski, age 91, of Hephzibah, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 in North Augusta, S. C. He was born July 19, 1924 in Instander, PA., to the late Alexander J. and Felixia Kochinoski Metelski.He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorine (Nance) Metelski.He was also preceded in death by his 11 brothers and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.He retired from the US Army as SGM (Sergeant Major) with over 30 years of loyal service. He is survived by his son, Eddie R. (Blair) Joyce of Beaufort, S.C. and one grandson, Kyle S. Joyce of Augusta. Family will receive friends Thursday, June 2, from 3 pm to 4 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, 30906, with a Prayer service to follow at 4 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
