Biography Mr. Victor Norman Haglund, Sr. Retired Master Carpenter and Air Line Pilot Augusta, Ga. entered into rest May 23, 2013 at Trinity Hospital, Augusta, Georgia., Mr. Victor Norman Haglund, Sr., 89, husband of the late Mrs. Margaret W. Haglund. A memorial services will be held at a later date in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Haglund a native of Madison, Wisconsin. He lived most of his life in Jacksonville, FL, before moving to Augusta two years ago. He was a retired Naval Commander who piloted PBY's in the Pacific during World War II. After the war he became a commercial Pilot and worked forNational Air Lines. When he retired from National Air Lines, he spent the rest of his working days as a Master Carpenter in South Florida. He was a member of the Pontiac Car Club and Navy Patrol Squadron VP 741. Survivors include one daughter, Nikki H. Wickware and her husband Henry (Hank) Wickware of Augusta, Georgia, oneson, Victor Norman Haglund, Jr. of Seminole, Florida and grandchildren, Kevin Wickware and Allison Haglund. Mr. Haglund was an avid golfer and loved his dog, Baily. His passion was his lake place on Lake Santa Fe in Melrose, Florida, where he loved to spend his spare time. He would always be piddling around fixing things. Every holiday the lake place would draw family and friends and Mr. Vic would spend all day towing everyone around the lake on skis. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to your local Humane Society or ASPCA
