Vera Grace Sumrall 9/23/1920-10/13/2011 Vera Grace Sumrall, 91, passed away peacefully on Oct 13, 2011. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.Vera is survived by her brother, Sanford Parnell ofClarks Hill, South Carolina;sister Clara (Jim) Morris, ofPhoenix, Arizona;son, Herbert (Anne) Stanley ofLocust Hill, Virginia; son, Jim (Nita) Stanley of Douglasville, Georgia; daughter, Gayle (Kevin) Walters, of Apalachin, New York;and stepson, Daile (Sandy) Sumrall, ofTallahassee, Florida.She will be missed by her nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will follow the visitation on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.Committal services will be held in Hampton, Virginia on Tuesday, October 18, 2011.
