Vera Davignon, 88, was born in London Arkansas on March 5, 1928. She entered into Heaven’s Gates on February 6, 2017. Vera was an accomplished mother, homemaker, nurse, businesswoman, and an excellent cook and hostess who enjoyed the company of family and friends. As a military wife, Vera and her family traveled across the globe prior to settling in Grovetown, Georgia in 1959. Vera had a strong faith in God and had been a proud member of Grove Baptist Church since 1968. She enjoyed teaching Children’s Sunday School and Vacation Bible School throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph M. Davignon, II, as well as her two brothers, Audrey Booher and Eugene Booher. She is survived by her five children; Joseph Davignon, III and his wife Mirian, Kay Wiseman and her husband Larry; Jeff Davignon; Jerry Davignon and his wife Tanja; Jacques Davignon and his wife Donna. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends Thursday February 9, 2017 from 10:00 until 10:45 am in the Mausoleum Chapel of Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am with Dr. Bill Eckles officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
