Twid Quick, Jr., age 85, of Augusta, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, at his residence with his family surrounding him. He was born August 9, 1928, in Girard, GA., to the late Twid and Willie Mae Godbee Quick, Sr.He was also preceded in death by 1 sister, Doris Laricy and 4 brothers, Harold, Byne, Charles and Wayne Quick. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Oglesby Quick; 1 son, Eddie Gene (Laurie) Quick of McBean; 1 granddaughter, Melissa (Joe) Headen of Augusta and 1 great granddaughter, Alona; 5 sisters, Mary Brown of Waynesboro, GA., Debra Sasser of Waynesboro, GA., Jane Neely of Augusta, GA., Sandra (Johnny) Minick of Augusta, GA., and Audrey (Steve) Hunt of Columbia, S. C.Also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Family will receive friends Tuesday 2 pm to 3 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886, with a Memorial Services to follow at 3 pm with Rev. Larry Duncan, officiating. The family wishes to thank Alliance Hospice and especially Rose for all their loving care and kindness that Mr. Quick received in his final days.
