Tony Myers

May 19, 1949 — February 26, 2015

Dearing, GA. Tony was born on May 19, 1949 in Statesboro, GA to the late Alfred and Lillie Mae Myers. He went home February 26, 2015. Tony was a loving and devoted husband, grandfather, and brother. He always enjoyed keeping busy with carpentry, mechanics, heavy equipment operator, building VW trikes, and watching cooking shows. Some of his hobbies included fishing, boating, grilling, and spending time with his friends and family. There was always a lot of laughter when Uncle Billy and Tony would get together and tell some of their wild stories, from the time they were teenagers until they finally settled down to being responsible adults. The one I always enjoyed the most was the “Boating Story”. Before Tony had his last surgery, Uncle Billy and I were in the room with him while he was waiting to go down to surgery and they started talking about the good times they had that day cruising the lake. The nurses were laughing so hard sitting behind their desk and listening to them. I know I will miss my brother. Even though we had our good and bad moments, he was always there for me. He couldn’t resist telling me how I should do things and I loved him for that. He was firm but had a heart of gold and a lot of love. Tony is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Anita, whom we will cherish forever; his son Brian (Hope) Jewell; daughters Amanda (Charles) Felder, Shanon Kirkland, and Mimi Salgado; sisters Nancy Hall, Robbie (Brian) Nozolino; brothers Jerry (Terry) Myers, Terry (Debbie) Myers, and Ben (Elaine) Myers. He was a grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. His uncle and best friend, Billy (Pansy) Mye McNeill Funeral Home 109 Shaw St. Martinez, GA. (706) 364-9122
