Thomas Ray Taylor, Jr., 47, of Batesburg, SC entered into rest on Monday, October 7, 2019. Ray is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (“Beth”) Padgett Taylor, his children, Kristopher T. Taylor, son; J. Dylan West, stepson; Aren M. West, stepson, all of Batesburg, SC.; his Father, Thomas (“Tommy”) R. Taylor, Sr., of Aiken, Sister, Joyce Lynn M. (David) Snelgrove, of Warrenville;Brothers, Thomas D. “Whitt” (Shelby) Taylor, Luther Glenn (Stacy) Taylor, of Aiken, One nephew, Quinn Taylor, of Aiken; Three nieces, Lily Taylor, Abigail Taylor, Keeley Taylor, all of Aiken, and his beloved cat, Squishy.Ray was pre-deceased by his Mother, Joyce W. Taylor and his Sister, Sharon Taylor. Ray attended Bonham Academy, W. Wyman King Academy, and Batesburg – Leesville Schools, He worked as a welder at Carlisle and was later self-employed in maintenance. Ray was a Christian and worshipped in his own way.He enjoyed collecting and selling anything from comics, cards, to antiques/collectibles. He enjoyed cars, preferring classic Mustangs and Fox bodies. The memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, October 13th, at 4:00 p.m., at Kedron Baptist Church (233 Kedron Church Rd., Aiken, SC29805), with Pastor Brad Willis officiating.
