Thomas Wille Kea

Thomas W. Kea, of Augusta, GA., passed away Monday, October 22, 2012, at his residence.He was 89.He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Mae Kea, his parents, Willie and Daisy Kent Kea, and his brother, Andrew Kea. Mr. Kea was a retired veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S. Army with honors. He attended Augusta Technical School and graduated as a Machinist.Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Beech Island Appliance. He is survived by 2 daughters; Christa (Ronald) Crissey of West Columbia, S.C. and Erin Kea of Augusta, GA.Also survived by 7 step-sons and 1 step-daughter; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 pm to 8 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, GA., 30906, 706.798.8886. Services will be Thursday 9 am at Sherwood Baptist Church, 3131 Louisville Rd., Augusta, Rev. Tim Smart, officiating.Full Military Honors to be performed at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
