Terry Wayne Coggins

With his loving family beside him, Terry Wayne “Fuzzy” Coggins went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2019. Terry was born in Augusta, Georgia on August 5, 1954. A true and loyal friend, a devoted brother, a loving father, and a doting grandfather, his greatest joy was found in his “Little Bride”, Lynn. Terry loved all things outdoors – hunting, fishing, the mountains, and the beach. He found beauty in a simple flower blossom and found peace scratching the ears of a dog. Terry loved his Lord. We know and believe that he stands in the presence of his Savior waiting for the day when we will all be together again. Terry was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bessie Marion “Polly” Joiner Coggins and Williams Amos Coggins, and his sister, Patricia Ann Coggins Rightor; and his “Papa” and “Nana”, Robert and Yvonne Simpson. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Lynn Coggins; children Mendy Johnston (Keith), Maria Wandless, Michelle DeLoach (Jack), Michelle Marshall, Renee Marshall and Jonathon Marshall, twelve (12) grandchildren, Tripp, Georgia, Daniel, William, MacLaine, Steven, Trey, Dylan, Hunter, Jake, Macey, Crisalee, and three (3) great-grandchildren. Terry is also survived by his twin brother, Larry B. Coggins (Deborah); numerous nieces and nephews; and an untold number of others he called “family”. A memorial service will be held on February 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. (visitation at 1:00 p.m.) at Providence Baptist Church, 3850 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, Ga., 30909.
