Terrance E. Watton

Augusta, GA. Terrance E. Watton, Sr., age 83, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at his residence with his family surrounding him. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA., on April 22, 1932, to the late Edward L. and Ioma M. Watt Watton.He retired from the U. S. Army as a Master Sargent, having served in the Korean War and 3 tours in Vietnam.He became a Master Mason while stationed in Pirmasens, Germany, and has been a 25 year member of Fleming Masonic Lodge #718 in Augusta.He was preceded in death by his second wife, Betty, 2 brothers, Bill and Danny and one great grandson, Collin. He is survived by his wife, Emma Bowers Watton, his first wife Bellmina E. Watton and children, Terrance Watton, Jr., Mina Brown, Kathy Greene, Pam McKinney, Ronnie Watton, Danny Watton, Jenny Sikes, Ashleigh Watton and Carleigh Watton; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday 10 am to 11 am at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, GA 30906, with services to follow at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Glover, officiating.Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park where full military honors will be rendered in addition to Masonic Rituals.
