Mr. Ted H. Henry Mr. Ted H. Henry, of Evans, died on Thursday, March 17, 2011. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.On Saturday, the family will greet friends one hour prior to the funeral service. The committal service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Bill Harrell will officiate. Family members include three children, Terry Moore (Dan) of Evans, Mark Henry (Julie) of Evans, Kaye Walden (Charles) of Augusta; three brothers, Ray Henry of Kite, Georgia, Gene Henry (Sherri) of Sardis , Georgia, Darwin Henry ( Nora) of Metter, Georgia; his grandchildren, Preston Henry, Kevin Walden, Lee Henry, Lindsay Moore Dean, Russ Walden, Jesse Moore, Will Watson.Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Sondra W. Henry in 2005; his parents, Rufus and Leila Hudson Henry; his brothers, Barney Henry and Carl Henry; his sisters, Eloise Wright and Violet Perkins. Mr. Henry was a member of Abilene Baptist Church.Prior to his retirement, he was a technician for Augusta Newsprint.
