Tara Michelle Hammond-Rampolla, 37 years old, of North Augusta, SC, died suddenly on Monday afternoon, April 19th, 2021. Having been together for over ten years, she was greatly loved by her wife Lindsay Hammond-Rampolla, and their fur babies, Monty, Bailey, Bynx, and Dani. Tara’s mother, Aleta Hammond (Robert Scott) of Martinez, GA, her siblings Nikki (Ed) Meyers of Twin Lakes, WI, Brett (Trish) Hammond of Johnston, SC, and Ryan (Marcy) Hammond of North Augusta, SC, along with their children and large extended family, feel a tremendous loss. Tara is also survived by her loving in-laws; Teri and Joe Edgeworth of Lancaster, PA, and their family. Tara and Lindsay had many friends that became their “adopted” family and will feel the absence of Auntie Tay-Tay’s presence. Tara was preceded in death by her father Burt Hammond, in 2005. Tara was born at home in Fort Ord, California, but has considered the Augusta area her home for over 30 years. Tara was a General Manager for the South Augusta Papa John’s. She had a very special place in her heart for the children in her life and loved to spoil them with love and attention. She was extremely thoughtful, had a positive spirit, took life by the horns and made things happen. Tara was a lover of Folly Beach, make that a lover of ANY beach. She was a strong advocate for animals and included animal photos in her daily doses of cuteness. She suffered from the family affliction of Musical Tourettes and was infectious with her song. Above all, Tara will be remembered as someone who became best of friends with anyone she met. She helped anyone in need at the drop of a hat. She loved with all of her heart, was loved immeasurably in return, and will continue to be loved by all who knew her.
