Sylvia Trout Howard

Sylvia Trout Howard, 81, of Augusta, Georgia passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024 at Drs. Hospital. Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, Osbourne & Mildred Puckett, brother, Lawrence Puckett and infant son Kevin Trout. She is survived by her husband William A. Howard, children Michael Trout (Sabrina), Michael Howard (Theresa), Kim Benoit (Michael) and Kathleen Trout Ford, grandchildren Kristen Kirkland (Brandon), Michael John Trout (Danielle), Laura Askren (William), Hunter Brooks, Jesse Howard and Matthew Ford, former daughter in law Jamie Trout (and children) and several great grandchildren. Sylvia’s greatest joys in life were her family, gardening, camping, sewing and traveling. She loved any time she could spend with her family most. She delighted in exploring new places as well as spending time in her yard and gardens. Her gardens were a testament to her green thumb and her love of nature. Sylvia’s absence leaves a void that can never be filled. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life to honor Sylvia in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School, P O Box 326, Chamberlain, SD 57326, an organization Sylvia was passionate about.
