Stuart M. Howard

Mr. Stuart M. Howard, of Hephzibah, died peacefully on Thursday, May 12, 2011.He was 85 years old. Mr. Howard was a native of Oswego, New York, but lived in Augusta, Georgia for the past twenty years at Barbara Hall’s Personal Care Home. He was proud to serve honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an exceptional athlete, excelling in both baseball and basketball. Mr. Howard is survived by his three daughters, Linda Hansen, of Tallahassee, Florida, Lee Ann Howard, of Bronx, New York, and Carol Nesbit, of Statesboro, Georgia; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and his brother, Doug Howard.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Myrtle Howard; sisters, Emily Franklin,Leola Murray; and his brothers, Neil Howard and Lloyd Howard.
