Shirley Audrey Williamson

Mrs. Shirley Audrey Williamson of Augusta died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Doctors Hospital. She was 72 years old. The family will receive friends Monday, December 1, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The committal service will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens. Pastor Wayne Todd will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Shirley Audrey Williamson was born December 12, 1935; she is the daughter of Mr. Marion Rowell and Mrs. Lucille Rowell. She lived a wonderful life enjoying her dear friends and loving family. She enjoyed making furniture as a webber. Mrs. Williamson is survived by her son, Dale Williamson and his wife Brenda, of Waynesboro, GA; daughter, Wanda Lucas and her husband Ernie, of Augusta, GA; sisters, Barbara Blanton and her husband V.T., of Loris, SC and Mildred Lee, of North Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Wayne Rowell and his wife Marty, of Tabor City, NC, and Wendell Rowell and his wife Katie, of Loris, SC; grandchildren, Jacqueline Ouzts, Christine Grant, Patricia Spicer, Brooke Williamson, Blake Williamson, Amanda Wesley, Robert Lucas, Danielle Lucas, Shane Lucas; and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Williamson is preceded in death by her parents, Marion Rowell and Lucille Jordan Rowell; beloved husband, Ottis Williamson; son, Jerry Lynn; sister, Ednaearl McDaniels and Mary Grace Dowling; and brother, Eugene Rowell.
