Scott Richard Nyman, 71, of 2094 Strasburg Road, Coatesville PA lost his battle against cancer on Friday October 4, 2024, in Aiken SC. Born on September 24,1953 in Fitchburg, MA, he was the son of the late Donald and Elizabeth (Laughton) Nyman. From an early age, Scott’s passion for food led him on a fulfilling culinary journey, after graduating from Fanning Trade School in Worcester MA his lifelong love of cooking lead him to PA where he resided for 50 years honing his culinary skills culminating in his career as an executive chef, and the proud owner of Dugal’s Stagecoach Inn. He was a member for many years of the Swedish Social Club located on Wyman's Lake in Westminster who enjoyed, boating, water skiing and playing cribbage. Scott is survived by his daughter Kristen Levins and her husband Tom; 2 grandsons Landon and Colton Levins all of Hudson, MA, three sisters; Dawn Perron and her husband Steve of Fitchburg, MA, Karin Farrow of Lancaster, MA, Cyndy Olliff and her husband Barry, of Aiken SC, eight nephews: Kyle, Kory, Josh, Ryan, Andrew, Ben, Daulton, Tyler, several cousins and his faithful dog July. Scott was predeceased by his parents Donald Nyman and Elizabeth Laughton Nyman and his brother Andrew Nyman all of Westminster, MA. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at Ludwigs Grill & Oyster Bar, Glenmoore, PA on November 9th from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. A second Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday November 10th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Frist Congregational Church in Westminster, MA in Fellowship Hall.
