Santos Perez Martinez, 75 years of age, of Dearing Ga, Passed away on Dec 14, 2024, Surrounded by his loving children, grandchildren, and extended family at Wellstar Hospital of Augusta. Santos was born November 25, 1949, in Haskell, Texas to the late Agapito and Maria Perez Martinez - Santos was the fourth child of a family of ten, with a special nephew Chico, who was like a brother to them all. Santos married Mary Kay McKee on Oct. 4, 1972, and five children were born from this union. Santos moved his family to Dearing, Ga., in 1983. He began his trade as a painter. He was affectionately known as Daddy, PawPaw, Papa, and to his friends and colleagues as Sundown. - He lived his life as a simple man who cherished time with his children, grandchildren, and his two fur babies Sadie and Sugar - He was the greatest storyteller there was, he had the hardiest laugh that was incredibly infectious. He loved his family with every fiber of his being - To know him was to love him. He never met a stranger; he loved to talk to anyone that would listen. Santos is survived by his wife of thirty years Nancy Dianne Byrd Martinez - Two sons Jerry Martinez(Fatima), Nathan Martinez(Kim), Three daughters Melissa Martinez (Robbie), Anabel Glasscock (Randy), and Priscilla Martinez (Melvin) -Eighteen grandchildren; Cameron, Christian, Jamal, Robin, Justin, Shane, Kaylee, Austin, Brianna, Hillary, Heather, Ethan, Makayla, Alexia, Savannah, Sarah, and Jayden. Twenty-six great-grandchildren. And six stepchildren along with his three sisters Marty, Sylvia, and Paula. He is Preceded in death by his parents and four sisters Irene, Alice, Chela, and Christina - Two brothers; Agapito Jr. and Stephen. Also a granddaughter Ciera Jade Martinez Santos dedicated his life to the lord, he prayed daily and often. He renewed his salvation and was ready to meet his Savior. We know we will see him again in Heaven and he will live in our hearts forever. A special thanks to Kaylee at Wellstar of Augusta 4th floor MICU nurse.
