Lynne was a beloved wife, mother of 4, and a grandmother of 8. No words can say how greatly she will be missed. She was born in Augusta at Fort Gordon on August 12, 1955. She had 1 brother, 2 sisters, and 2 step-sisters. She married her high school sweetheart, Roberto Alicea, on June 8, 1973. Together they had 3 sons and 1 daughter, and 8 grandchildren in the 36 yrs that they were married. Sadly her life came to an end when her battle with cancer ended on September 20, 2009. She was a real fighter. Anybody who knew Lynne, knew that she was one of the most giving people ever. She worked at Garrett Elementary School for 12 yrs or more as a paraprofessional and while there, she always either donated or helped with costumes for the drama department, helped anybody who needed school supplies, and made so many friends with everybody there. If anybody in the family ever needed anything, she was always there to help too. She was the kind of person who always made sure that everybody had a gift at Christmas. She was an angel that God had put on this Earth to perform miracles and she did her job well.
