Mrs. Ruth Lillian Thieme Executive Assistant Mrs. Ruth Lillian Thieme of Hephzibah died at Doctors Hospital on January 1, 2009. She was 89 years old. The family will receive friends January 3, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, 706.798.8886. The funeral Service will be conducted January 4, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Hephzibah United Methodist Church. Pastor T. G. Hall will officiate. The committal will follow at Brothersville Cemetery in Hephzibah. Mrs. Ruth Lillian Thieme is survived by her loving husband, Carl H. Thieme; son, Carl William Thieme and his wife Sheila of Marco Island, FL; daughter, Virginia Rushing and her husband Dewell of Hephzibah; Brother, Norman Minker of Belleville, NJ; grandchildren, Trevor W. Thieme of Philadelphia, PA, Brandon Thieme of Boston, MA, Heather Dye and her husband Vic of Evans, GA; great grandchildren, Emily, Mallory, Victoria, Alex, and Wesley. Mrs. Ruth Thieme was an active member in all facets of her church life. She enjoyed her involvement in the women’s group of Hephzibah United Methodist Church.
