Ruth Elizabeth Haynes

Ms. Ruth Elizabeth Haynes Augusta, GA. Ms. Ruth Haynes entered into rest at her residence Friday May 15th, 2015. Ms. Haynes was born in Florence, SC and was of the Baptist Faith. She graduated from Black Mountain High School and continued her education in stenography at Lee Edwards High School in Asheville, NC. She loved music and was a talented pianist. She relocated to Aiken, SC, where she worked as a secretary/teachers aide for the state of South Carolina. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Foxy; daughters, Karen Ruth Alexander (Jack), Lauren Elizabeth Hester (Tom), Erin Denise Parker (Gregg), and Cathryn Alicia O’Leary (Mike); very special sister, Barbara B. Reid; brothers, Charles A. Reid, and Randolph J. Reid. She was an amazing grandmother and immensely loved the joys of her life, her grandchildren, Stephen, Matthew, Shannon, Bryan, Meagan, Amanda, Ian, Rachel, Sarah, Jackson, and Lydia; and great-grandchildren, Judith, Elijah, and Michael. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Ann Haynes and her sister Virginia D. Reid. A private graveside service is to be conducted Friday at Sunset Hills Cemetery in North Augusta, SC.
