Ruth Bartlett

Ruth Bartlett, age 80, of Hephzibah, passed away Monday, October 19, 2015, at her residence with her family surrounding her. She was born April 18, 1935, in Warsaw, N.C. to the late Clarence W. and Lillie Belle Dunn Powell.She was a Teacher’s Aide at Gracewood Elementary School for many years and was a member of Miracle Baptist Church in Hephzibah. She is survived by her husband, Frank Bartlett; children, Patricia Ann (Wayne) King of North Augusta, Betty Suzanne Tillman of Martinez, James Thomas Austin of Augusta, Laura Lee (Richard) Clayton of Hephzibah, Kelly Denise (Marty) Cline of Hephzibah and John Franklin (Deana) Bartlett of Hephzibah;18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Jimmy Powell of Teachey, N.C.She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Phyllis Lynn Austin; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Memorial Services will be Friday 5 pm at Miracle Baptist Church, 1308 Hephzibah-McBean Rd.,Hephzibah, with Pastor David Shelton, officiating.Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
