Augusta, GA. Roy James Williams, III, age 68, of Augusta, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at University Hospital. He was born in Augusta on December 13, 1947 to the late Roy James and Louise Price Williams, Sr.He was an Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.He was a truck driver for many years and was a member of the American Legion in Augusta. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Carolyn (Mike) Gatheral of Middleburg, FL., and Mary (Shawn) Dunbar of Augusta; 4 grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Thomas, Zachary Gatheral, Jasmine Dunbar and Chris Gatheral; 1 great grandson, Nate Thomas.Also survived by loving family and close friends. Funeral Services will be Saturday 11 am at Windsor Spring Baptist Church, 3692 Windsor Spring Rd., Hephzibah, 30815, with visitation one hour prior at the church.Pastor Paul Robertson, officiating.Burial to follow in Hephzibah-Vance Cemetery with Military Honors being rendered.
