Roy Bazil Morris

Roy Bazil Morris, 76 entered eternal rest on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Augusta GA. Roy attended Richmond Academy, and lived a life of service to his country and community by serving as a Corporal in the US Marine Corps from 1966 – 1972, in Viet Nam, 3rd Marine Division 1967-1968, in the 878 Engineer Battalion GA Army National Guard 1973, and as a Sergeant with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office for 32 years. Roy was preceded in death by his parents Rich ard Roy Morris and Maude Broome Morris. Roy loved to travel, garden and most of all loved his family. He is survived by his wife Laura Moon Morris, sister Jean Wood, brother Jack (Janet) Morris, daughter Stephanie Jameson, step-sons John (Jackie) Watson, Tom Watson and numerous grandchil dren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
