Mrs. Rosa E. Martinez of Bristol Place Court in Augusta died on Thursday, June 23, 2011.She was 84 years old. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.Committal services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.Pam Collins will officiate. Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Martinez, in 2005.She is survived by her children, Carmen M. Kupinski, and her husband, Richard, of Hephzibah, Wilfredo Martinez, and his wife, Nidza, of Batesburg, South Carolina, and Elizabeth Strubbe, and her husband, Leopold, of Bridgeport, Connecticut; her grandchildren, Lylana Lynn Martinez, Wilfredo Jared Martinez, Erica Kupinski, and David Kupinski; her great granddaughter, Alexis Robles; numerous nieces and nephews. She was an avid gardener who will be remembered for the beautiful flowers she grew.
