Mr. Ronnie Lee Crawford Evans, GA. Mr. Ronnie Lee Crawford, 69, husband of Mary Goodwin Crawford, entered into rest on Monday, June 6th, 2016. Mr. Crawford, a life-long native of Columbia County, GA, was a member of the Apostolic Cathedral of Praise, and he worked for the Columbia County Board of Education as a school bus driver for special needs children. He never fathered any children of his own, but he poured out his love to all in the family, as well as his special needs children. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his brother, Harold Crawford (Sylvia) and several nieces and nephews; the family would like to give special recognition to nephew, David Crawford and niece, Donna Harvey and her husband, Stanley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Willie Mae Crawford; brothers, Edward, Eugene, and Frank Amerson, and Reverend J.W. Crawford; and sisters Joyce Fitzpatrick, Mary Ruth Richardson, and Bobbie Miller. The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 8th from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Apostolic Cathedral of Praise (3670 Old Petersburg Rd, Martinez, GA). Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 9th at the Apostolic Cathedral of Praise at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Marcus Holt, Reverend John Biggs, and Reverend Matt Betosky officiating. Pallbearers will be David Crawford, Stanley Harvey, Lonnie Stewart, Leroy Newman, Faron Goodwin, Michael Yates, Jack Roy, and Mauricio Martinez. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the National Down Syndrome Society (ndss.org).
