Ronald Joseph Lane

On June 20, 2023, at 81 years of age, Ronald Joseph Lane closed his eyes in this world and opened them in heaven. Seeing once again, past family and friends to whom he cherished so deeply. To those of us left behind grieving, he will be greatly missed but remembered very fondly. His gentle nature and calm demeanor brought peace to our family. He was slow to anger but quick to forgive. He was selfless; opting to go penniless if it meant someone else could eat; never asking for anything in return. Everything from him was a gift. Everything given from him was with joy. He loved his wife of 59 years deeply to his last breath. Loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren more than his own life. He would not hesitate to brave the frigid cold at 2 am to deliver heaters across town so that his grandchildren would not be uncomfortable. He took time to be with his family – never missing an opportunity to be the coach, helping hand, sage advisor, or whatever silly game player his children cooked up for him. We are saddened at the loss of our most beloved patriarch but know one day we will be reunited with bodies made anew.
