Mr. Ronald Carter Johnson of Augusta died on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at MCG Hospital.He was 50 years old. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 27, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.Committal services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.Rev. Billy Atkins will officiate. Mr. Johnson is survived by his mother, Jacqueline Johnson; his sisters, Sandra Jean Johnson and Shirley Mae Johnson; his brother, David Howell Johnson, all of Augusta.He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Johnson, in 2002, and by his sister, Davida Johnson, earlier this year. Mr. Johnson was a member of Fleming Baptist Church where he was involved in the van ministry.For more than 20 years, he had worked for U.S. Battery Company.
