Robert Thomas Willoughby

Robert Thomas Willoughby, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday Oct 20, 2024 in Augusta GA after losing his battle with cancer. He was born the 12th of 14 children to John Willoughby and Anna Bradshaw, in Louisville Kentucky. Robert was an avid reader, sports fan and debater. He enjoyed music, traveling and watching sporting events. He taught himself to play guitar and gladly shared what he learned with family and friends. In March 2022 he was diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer. With his health declining, he pushed himself to continue living a normal life, keeping in touch with family and friends. In June 2024, he traveled with his wife of 52 years, to Mount Rushmore. Robert is survived by his wife Jeanette, daughter Jennifer-Lyn Hall, son Jeffery Robert (Blayre), sisters Juanita Strieff, Glenda Callaway, Joan Collard, Donna Faye Mills and Dora Clark, six grandchildren, a great grandchild and all the extended family in Georgia, Indiana and Kentucky.
