Richard C. Weathers

Augusta, GA. Richard C. Weathers, age 85, of Augusta, passed away July 21, 2016. He was born September 11, 1930 in Augusta, to the late Euley and Rebecca Wren Weathers.He retired from SRS as a Power Operator.He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Silvercrest Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher. He is survived by his wife, Betty; one sister, Janet (Ray) Ford of Evans; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Weathers; 1 son, Mark (Alice) Weathers of Charlotte, NC; 2 daughters, Tracy (Gerald) Solis of Jacksonville, FL and Amy (John) Frost of Sulphur, LA.; 4 step-children, Teena Brittingham of Augusta, James Brittingham of Rincon, Dowe Brittingham of Augusta and Karen Moats of Harlem; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday 6 pm to 8 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906. Graveside Services will be Tuesday 10 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park.Everyone is asked meet at the grave.
