Richard Ronald Sheppard

Augusta, GA. Richard Ronald Sheppard, age 54, of Augusta, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at his residence with his family surrounding him. He was born October 29, 1959 in Sandersville, GA., to the late Charles Lee Sheppard and Patricia Ann (Grider) Kirkland of Missouri. Mr. Sheppard retired from the Austin Industrial Co. after 16 years of service.He was an Industrial Insulator where he loved his job and took pride in his work.He was an avid Outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish.He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia (Leabhart) Sheppard; his children, Shane (Cori) Taylor of Jacksonville, FL., Shannon (Thomas) Fielding of North Chesterfield, VA., and Richard (Nikki) Sheppard of Evans, GA.; grandchildren, Asia, Keelan, Ricky, Justin and Savannah; brothers, Danny Keith Sheppard of N.C., Jimmy Frank Sheppard of MO., and 1 sister, Pamela Kay Huddart of MO.He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Elizabeth Leann Cantrell. Central Savannah River Crematory, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, entrusted with arrangements.
