Richard Lewis Horton Jr.

“Richie” was born July 4, 1977 in Augusta GA and passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on January 29, 2023. Richie is survived by his parents Richard and Rita Horton, brother: Robbie Horton (Natasha Horton), sister: Renee Horton, and his nieces, Charlotte Whiteley, Amelia Whiteley and Roxy Horton. Richie was a graduate from Lakeside High School, class of 1995. If you knew him, you loved him. If you didn’t know him personally you were intrigued by him. He was an adventurous soul with a big heart, zest for life and a magnetic personality. Most of his life and legacy was made at the racetrack where the family traveled every weekend in pursuit of his passion for motocross. He was a stranger to no one. Always willing to offer help, a smile or straight shoot some advice. He was a protective big brother to all that he loved. Richie truly lived his life full throttle in every aspect. Go big, Go fast, Live with Passion and Live with no regrets. Richie lost his battle to Huntington’s Disease. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Huntington’s Disease Society of America. HDSA.org.
