Richard A. Carter

Mr. Richard A. Carter died on Tuesday, October 14, 2008.He was 76 years old. Funeral services will be private. Mr. Carter had been an Augusta resident since 1980 and worked as a construction superintendent on Plant Vogtle and many other local projects.He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served for four years.He was also an avid golfer at Goshen Plantation. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Theresa Carter; his sons, Scott Carter of Hamden, Maine, Brian Carter of Old Towne, Maine, Rick Carter of Gueydan, LA, Sean Carter of El Paso, TX, Kevin Carter of Oswego, NY, and Michael Howard of Augusta, Ga; his daughters, Shannon Carter of Oswego, NY; Linda Hansen of Tallahassee, Florida, LeeAnn Howard of Bronx, NY, Carol Nesbit of Statesboro, Ga; brother, Robert Carter of Lamoine, Maine.
