Rev. Junior Harris, Jr Retired Major U.S. Army Martinez, Ga. entered into rest August 4, 2011 at his residence Mr. Junior Harris, Jr, 58. Son of the late Mr. Junior Harris, Sr. and Mrs.Odeal Jones Harris. Rev. Harris a native of New Orleans, La. Lived in the Augusta area since 1988, he was a retired Major in the U.S. Army and a retired Pastor at Barkcam Baptist Church and a member of the Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Junior Harris, III, Richmond, VA, Jason Leon Harris, Catonsville, MD, John Michael Harris, Augusta, Ga. Brother, Arthur Harris, New Orleans, LA, and Grandchild Kaiya Michaeleigh Harris. A host of Aunts and Uncles and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted today at Good Shepherd Baptist Church Rev. Clearence Moore officiating. Interment will follow on Saturday August 13, 2011 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in La. Pallbearers will be Phillip Davis, Alan Stewart & Clearance Baylor and three deacons at his church.Another funeral service will be conducted at Mt. CalveryBaptist Church Saturday at 11:00 am and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.
