Randall Malloy Scarborough Randall Malloy Scarborough passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2010, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.He was born in Laurens County, Georgia on March 16, 1929.He was retired from Kamyr Inc., Carlstad, Sweden and Glens Falls, New York where he worked in the pulp and paper industry throughout North America and Europe.He traveled extensively and loved being a gentleman farmer in his retirement.He loved to play golf and enjoyed being outdoors and working on his tractor. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.A private graveside service will be held at a later date. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Steven Drew Scarborough.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ethleen Cater Scarborough, a son, Joe Cater Scarborough of Augusta and a daughter, Lela Randall Scarborough of Atlanta, son-in-law, Andrew Cameron Blair of Atlanta, and seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was a charter member of Goshen Plantation golf club and a member of the Elks Club.
