Philip Roberts Poyer

Retired SSG Philip Roberts Poyer, 63, entered into rest November 16, 2018 at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia. Husband of Lila Janet Barton Poyer. He was born in Hornell, NY on May 24, 1955 to Carl and Etta Shull Poyer, has lived in Augusta for the past year coming from Valdosta, Georgia. He was Retired SSGwith the US Air Force. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at McNeill Funeral Home with military honors. Additional survivors include three sons Robert Hoover, Joseph Hoover (Tammy), Steven Hoover Poyer (Jessie), three daughters Janice Vickers (Ron), Tammy Floyd (Larry) Kimberly Poyer Robinson (John), brothers Garold Poyerand Arland Hanning, sister Theresa Battagli (Vincent), fifteen Grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
