Pete Thomas Hobgood

The family of Pete Thomas Hobgood, age73, regret to announce his passing on January 02, 2022 at his home in Augusta, Georgia. Pete was born in Cartersville, Georgia, on October 10, 1948. He was a 1964 graduate of Cartersville High School and Georgia Institute of Technology, with a degree in Engineering. He is predeceased by his parents, F.P. “Pete” and Melvie Windsor Hobgood, his wife, Nancy Pittman Hobgood, as well as his brother-in-law, Brent Pittman.

Pete is survived by his children: Hope (Curtis)Tinsley, of Pegram, TN: Kristan Hobgood of Ashland City, TN; Heather Hobgood, of Nashville, TN; and Cord (Nicole) Hobgood of Georgetown, KY; two stepdaughters: Angela (John) Maternowski, of Kingston Springs, TN; and Ashley Proud (Dan) of Fort Bragg, NC, as well as twelve Grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by two sisters, Sheila H. Wheeler, of Marietta, GA and Becky H. Souris of Mebane, NC; brothers in law, Trent Pittman and Sonny Pittman of Augusta, GA, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Rd, Augusta, GA 30906 with a small graveside service on Monday, January 10, 2021 @ 2:00 pm. McNeill Funeral Home will oversee those services.

He is loved and will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.
