Peggy L. Powell

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Peggy L. Powell, 73, entered into rest on September 17th, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Peggy was born on October 7, 1948 in Daytona Beach, Florida and absolutely fell in love with the ocean. She always loved talking about growing up in McBean, Georgia. Her professional career was working around the medical field as a unit clerk at University and Aiken hospitals. After retiring from Aiken hospital, her life revolved around her grandchildren that she loved so much. She was a member of Christian Heritage church in Graniteville, SC. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband J.L. Powell, her mother, Velma C. Reese, and her sister, Jackie Faye Price. She will be greatly cherished and missed by her family, her sons Dean Chance (Melissa), Joey Chance, Her daughter Renee’ Gowan (Jimmy), grandchildren Shelby, Leland, and Kaylen, her sister Ann Williams, along with a number nieces and nephews. No services will be held but a gathering of friends and family will be held at Christian heritage church on Sunday, September 25 from 2-4PM to honor what a strong, loving, and beautiful soul she was.
