Ms. Olga Goerlich Summers Ms. Olga Goerlich Summers of Augusta passed away peacefully at her home, on Friday, April 1, 2011.She was 83 years old. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, 706.798.8886.The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.Rev. David Hagen will officiate.Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Summers is survived by her son, Karl (Thanh) Summers, of Evans; her daughters, Charlotte (Ed) Betters, of Augusta, and Dorthy Kirkland, of Augusta; her grandchildren, Denise Summers, Elizabeth (Joey) Harris, Chris (Crystal) Justice, Allen Betters, David (Meghan) Summers, Cheryl Summers, Ronnie (Holly) Summers, and Lauren Summers; her great-grandchildren, Breanne Summers, Drew and Maggie Sharp, CJ Justice, David Summers Jr., Aubree Justice, Nicholas, Jocelynne, and Damien Betters, Daniel and Brendan Stutts, Daniel Clemente, and Alex Rothkin; her sister, Grete Scholaster; her brother, Johann (Caroline) Goerlich; other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bradley M. Summers, in 2004; her son, Ronald David Summers, in 2008.
