Neely "Neel" Kevin Mccormack

Neely Kevin (Neel) McCormack,67,left this earthly life and entered heavens gates on Saturday, January 27, 2024 after battling numerous health issues. You are now pain free and at peace our special angel. Neel was a 1974 graduate of George P. Butler High School. He loved music and playing his guitar. He also loved hunting, fishing, and most of all the beach. Neel was a kind soul and a friend to everyone he knew or met along life's journey, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. Neel worked several jobs over his lifetime although he was most dedicated and proud of his landscaping and pool company he owned in his earlier years. Neel was preceded in death by his parents B.J. and Sarah McCormack, brothers Frank Charles McCormack and Billy Gene McCormack, grandparents Charles and Ellora McCormack. Neel adored his mother Sarah and would bring her fresh cut flowers every time he came to see her. Survivors include two sisters, Jackie Elsey (Harry) and Angie Hatfield, Karla Duncan, former wife and special friend who over the past six years offered outstanding care and support for Neel and made his days brighter. Neel is also survived by a five nieces and nephews, three great nieces, and one great nephew. Burial services will be private. A memorial service for Neel will be held at a later date in the chapel of McNeill Funeral Home. The date and time will be listed on the McNeill website. The family will assist in contacting friends on the date and time.
