Myrtle Smoldt, 92, entered into rest December 24, 2017 at her residence, wife of the late Ronald Fred Smoldt. Myrtle a native of Aiken, SC., she was a short order cook for S&S Truck Stop and a member of Whispering Pines Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 pm at Whispering Pines Baptist Church with Dr. Kevin L. Towns officiating. Burial will follow at Hephzibah-Vance Cemetery, Hephzibah, Ga. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Hollis, Jason Trout, Stephen Trout, Brandon Woodwoof, Tim Templin, Keith Hinton and Chris Hollis. Survivors include her sons, Lucius Corley (JoAnne), James Corley, Bobby Corley (JoAnne), daughters, Barbara Smith, Phyleas Dixon and Linda Shaw, One hundred and forty-four, grand, great and great-great grandchildren.
